This place in Sevier County in Tennessee has always been known as a family vacation hub. Among its numerous attractions are natural landscape (the town proper is only five miles away from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park), music theatres and, of course, the Pigeon Forge outlet malls.
Despite its sceneries, the town has a strategic location for commerce. This is why in the ‘80s, the town leaders initiated an aggressive economic plan which would later put Pigeon Forge on the list of tourists’ favorite destination. The plan will be built around theme parks, live music venues, and outlet malls. As the saying goes, it’s better late than never. Their plan succeeded and the town has since been known as a vacation spot. The good thing about outlet mall in pigeon forgeis that they offer a variety of products that shoppers and tourists will surely love. What they have on their shelves are food and beverages, perfumes, clothing and even books and tools. What’s even better is that the prices of goods here are definitely lower compared to superstores in the city. It’s been said that in the early ‘90s, 44 percent of the town’s total revenue came from these outlet malls. This led to the prices of land to soar making the town a viable property for real estate.
Despite the commercial boom—and the influx of the town’s outlet mall pigeon forge has maintained its low key way of life. Some still prefer to tend to their lands to cultivate crops rather than put up their own business.
